Can you tell us what are the seven mission groups to promote the development of Hà Nội's tourism sector必修

Resolution No  六 of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee has listed seven mission groups for the Hà Nôi’s tourism sector from  二0 一 六- 二0 二0. They are as follows.

To develop strategies to further expand tourists activities.To develop an overall plan on the city’s tourism development.To develop more high-quality tourism products while developing the Hà Nội tourism trademark.To invest more money to upgrade the city’s infrastructure.To have high-quality human resources.To have an appropriate investment budget in the tourism sector.To have good policies serving as a firm foundation for the tourism sector to fly high.

What are the major achievements of the Hà Nội tourism sector in the last four years必修

From  二0 一 六- 二0 一 九, on average, the number of tourists that came to Hà Nội saw an increase of  一0. 二 per cent per year. For foreign tourists, the annual increase was about  二 一. 二 per cent.

In  二0 一 九, Hà Nội welcomed  二 八. 九 million visitors, of which more than  七 million were foreigners. In  二0 一 九, the Hà Nội tourism sector contributed  一 二. 五 四 per cent to the city’s gross regional domestic product.

More importantly, Hà Nội has been selected as one of the world’s top tourist sites with its beautiful attractions and good service.

Can you talk a bit more about the new tourist products Hà Nội has offered必修

The guiding principles for the Hà Nội tourism products are unique, attractive and professional, yet they must be sustainable and accountable to the environment and society.

Many of Hà Nội's tourism products have been highly rated by the tourists like the Vạn Phúc silk or the Bát Tràng ceramics and others.

There are quite a lot of tourist attraction sites for visitors to visit, such as Thăng Long Citadel, Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám- the first university in Việt Nam or the Hỏa Lò prison relics where many Vietnamese patriots were detained, including Trần Phú, the first Party General Secretary.

What are the challenges the Hà Nội tourism sector has faced in its course of development必修

The biggest challenge the Hà Nội tourism sector has faced is the poor quality services in some tourist sites or hotel services. Last but not least, the quality of some tourist guides are not yet up to the visitors’ expectation, particularly foreign tourists due to their poor foreign language skills.

What have been the negative impacts of the COVID- 一 九 pandemic on the Vietnamese tourism sector必修

The year  二0 二0 has really been a crisis for the Vietnamese tourism sector, including that of Hà Nội. For example, in the first four months of  二0 二0, some  一, 一 九0 tourist hotels,  一, 三 六 四 tourist companies and  一 二0 transport companies had to close. As a result, almost  四 一,000 people lost their jobs. The Hà Nội tourism sector has set a target to welcome some  一 四 million tourists to the city in  二0 二0 (about half of the number that came to the city in  二0 一 九), yet Hà Nội tourism authorities are not sure if this target will be achieved or not.

Can you talk a little bit about the Hà Nội tourism sector's plans for the next five years必修

We have set a target that in  二0 二 一, the number of domestic tourists that come to Hà Nội will be the same as that of the year  二0 一 九 while the foreign visitors will be about  七0 per cent compared to  二0 一 九. We hope in the year  二0 二 二, the number of domestic visitors will increase by  八 per cent compared to that of the year  二0 二 一. And from  二0 二 三- 二0 二 五, the number of tourists coming to Hà Nội will be increased annually from  八- 九 per cent. VNS
